A bit different to the traditional ‘babymoon’, mine consisted of a weekend away with a couple of friends. A much needed one, might I add.
Desperate to have a last little break, my friends and I decided a weekend away before July would be great.
With only a few weeks until the due date, I didn’t want to go too far so after some heavy internet research, we stumbled across a self catering option in Warwickshire; The Bakehouse.
Located within the village of Lower Quinton, about 4 miles from Stratford-Upon-Avon, it really is a peaceful little getaway.
The cottage is decorated with nineteenth century art giving it an antique yet cosy feel. The heated swimming pool within the gardens was a huge bonus especially as the sun was out. The hosts were lovely and couldn’t be more helpful without being intrusive.
Although, there’s not much to do on the immediate doorstep, it’s a great base to visit Stratford Upon Avon and the rest of Warwickshire and Cotswolds.
Much of the weekend was spent relaxing, but we made sure to pop in to Stratford-Upon-Avon (one of my favourite towns) for Afternoon Tea at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
All in all it was a lush weekend, babymoon with friends should totally become a thing. 🙂
If anyone would like any further details, I’m happy to provide more detailed info or you can check out the hosts website.
What about you? I would love to hear about your ‘babymoon’ locations. 🙂
